The Plan of Salvation

Would you like to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and know Him as your Lord and Savior? It’s as simple as 1, 2, 3, and 4.

1. KNOW that ALL HAVE SINNED.
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. “  Romans 3:23
If we are truly honest, all of us have done some bad things in our lives. For some of us it has been some very bad things like murder or fornication. For others it has been what some might call little sins like telling a “white lie” or stealing a few dollars. But in God’s eyes ALL sins are grievous in His sight and worthy of condemnation.

2. KNOW that THE PENALTY for SIN is DEATH and HELL.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.” – Romans 6:23
As in all of life there are consequences for our decisions and actions. And the consequence for ALL sin, no matter big or small, is eternal death and hell. Those whose sins are not forgiven will spend all eternity in a burning tormenting hell.

3. KNOW that JESUS DIED to PAY for YOUR SINS
“But God commends His love towards us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.” –Romans 5:8
But God who is rich in love and mercy does not want anyone to go to an eternity in hell. But someone has to pay the consequences of sin. So, God sent His only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to pay the horrible consequences of sin for all people so that no one has to go to hell.

4. KNOW that HE INVITES YOU to be SAVED TODAY
“That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.” – Romans 10:9
Because of the death of Christ on the cross, salvation and forgiveness  is available to all people. But this salvation is not automatically given to all. You have to ask. You must put your faith and trust in Christ as savior and Lord. You must pray and invite Jesus into your heart, to forgive you of all your sins, and commit your life to Him as your savior and Lord.
